  • Posters should measure 48" wide X 36" tall to fit on the provided display boards.
  • Pushpins will be provided; however, if students require additional materials they must provide them.

Presenter Etiquette

  • Professional/business attire encouraged
  • Arrive early to allow for ample check in and setup time
  • Remain at your poster beyond your formal judging times to answer questions from other attendees
  • Leave poster up until all presentations are complete
  • Attend the reception immediately following the final presentation for the UM community to celebrate your research contributions.
  • Email UGR at least 72 hours in advance if you are no longer able to present

Presentation Feedback

Participating students will formally present their poster twice in order to receive feedback from at least two judges*. Presentation sessions are scheduled in 20 minute blocks; therefore, students should plan to speak for a maximum of 15 minutes in order to allow time for any questions.

Evaluation criteria are inclusive of poster content and the presentation itself. The poster rubrics are being updated for the 2020 RCIF and will be posted for students to review as soon as they are finalized.

*Judges are current UM faculty, staff, post-docs, and senior graduate students.
